Adding accounts and contacts
The fields on an account and a contact, the figures on the accounts list, and what blocks a delete.
An account is a company you do work for. A contact is a person at that company.
Projects belong to an account, offers and invoices are always tied to one, and leads need both an account and a contact before you can save them.
Adding an account
Only the company name is required, and it has to be unique in your workspace.

Adding contacts
A contact belongs to exactly one account, and an account can have as many contacts as you need.
Only the name is required. Email, phone, role, LinkedIn, location, and an avatar are all optional.
One contact per account can be the primary contact. A contact is used in two places: as the main contact on a project, and as the billing contact on an invoice.
The accounts list
Each row shows the money that account has made you.

Sorting is automatic: accounts with overdue invoices or at-risk relationships come first.
Deleting
Only admins can delete, and Billow blocks it when the record is still in use:
An account with any project or lead can’t be deleted. Same for one with live invoices.
A contact used by a project or invoice can’t be deleted: “Cannot delete a contact that is referenced by projects or invoices.”
There’s no trash for accounts and contacts. Deleting one removes it from your workspace with no undo in the app. To keep the records of an account that has only gone quiet, mark it as churned instead.
