Payment details
A deposit invoice adds a Deposit badge carrying its own percentage, so a half-upfront project reads 50% Deposit. It shows what it’s a deposit of, so your client sees the full project scope alongside the smaller amount they’re paying now.
Paying by card
Pay with Card hands off to Stripe’s own checkout page. Your client enters their card there and comes back to a confirmation.
The invoice marks itself paid automatically once Stripe confirms. Occasionally a payment shows as Payment Processing for a moment while Stripe settles, which resolves on its own.
Card payment only appears when Stripe is connected and verified. See Accepting card payments with Stripe.
Paying by bank transfer
Your bank details are laid out with a copy button on every field: account holder, IBAN and BIC, or account and routing number, or your free-text instructions.
Bank transfers don’t notify anybody. You mark the invoice paid once the money lands. See Getting paid.
Sharing, PDFs and receipts
Sharing a draft sends it. Generating a link flips the invoice to pending and locks it.
Billow sends no payment confirmation to your client. Stripe may send its own card receipt. For bank transfers, thank them yourself.
The link keeps working after payment, so your client can always go back for the PDF.
